CMO Consultant, Global Marketer
Eliza Esquivel is a seasoned global marketing professional who develops new audiences, new products, and new marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies and brands. She is passionate about female leadership, D&I leadership and progressive innovation for organizations, brands, products, business models, and society at large.
Eliza spent the last 2 years as Senior Director of Global Brand Strategy, Naming, Management and Partnerships at Microsoft for the Office marketing group (Microsoft 365, Office 365, Teams, Skype, Outlook, and others in the applications and services group). She led a senior team of global strategists and partnership managers committed to elevating the strategic and creative marketing excellence of Microsoft’s portfolio.
From 2012-2016 Eliza was VP Global Brand Strategy at Mondelēz International where she nurtured their $36 billion portfolio of high growth global brands (Oreo and Cadbury among others). She led an international team of strategists who provided brand strategy and creative development support to Mondelēz brands as well as thought leadership to the global organization.
Eliza is a Board Director for The Advertising Club of New York (since 2014) and was named #6 on Business Insider’s list of the 30 Most Creative Women in Advertising.
Eliza is a progressive thinker with a balance of classical planning, creative and integrated strategic marketing and business development skills accumulated across a range of global brands including Coke, Nike, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Philips, Accenture, Skittles, Cadbury, and Oreo.
Prior to her roles client side at Microsoft and Mondelez, Eliza held agency positions: Head of Planning at TBWA/CHIAT/DAY NEW YORK, Planning Director at W+K Amsterdam, and planning roles at JWT and DDB. Eliza has an MA in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
