David Lubars is Chief Creative Officer, BBDO Worldwide and Chairman of BBDO North America. In the 13-years since David joined BBDO in 2004 as its creative lead, the agency has been named Agency of the Year by various industry publications more than 15 times and has become not only the dominant creative force in New York City, but among the most creatively recognized in the world.
For example, for the 11th year in a row, BBDO has been ranked #1 in the Gunn Report as the world’s most awarded creative agency network. And BBDO has won Network of the Year at Cannes a record-setting six times.
The work isn't just creative. For four of the seven years since it was created, BBDO has been ranked the most effective agency network in the world in the Effie Effectiveness Index – more than any other network. And BBDO was ranked the most strategic agency network in the world for the fourth year in a row in the WARC 100.
David has personally won 160 Cannes Lions and 150 One Show pencils. His BMW Films was the first ever Titanium winner at Cannes and is part of MoMA's permanent collection in New York City.
Recently, David was named one of the top ten creative directors of all time in a story published on the Forbes CMO Network.
